Footsteps fell like silent raindrops, only a soft pattering in the grey afternoon as Sophis strode to the house he had called his own. The sickness spreading like wildfire throughout the town had given him a ripe opportunity, and the king-to-be fully intended to use it.

The archer flung the door open, approaching his sleeping twin. Faye rested on the couch, her back to the door as her body seemed to curve inward around something. "Faye, wake up." Sophis roughly shook his sister's shoulder. The blonde bassist yawned, groggily opening her eyes as she looked over her shoulder. "What is it man?" "It's time." He whispered vaguely, gesturing out towards the door.

"Time for what?" The male Orson twin groaned, slapping a palm onto his face. "Time for us to kill XVoid and take over this dump!"

Faye bit her lip, looking away from her brother. "I don't want to…" Sophis' gold irises seemed to glint with irritation as his eyes narrowed. "And why the fuck is that the case Faye?" The silver-eyed young woman stood up, swinging her legs off the couch before staring at her brother. "Because I'm finally happy! I've found friends!" She laughed, smiling. "I found love, I found a purpose!"

Sophis chuckled, shaking his head. "Oh you poor, poor naive little girl." His gaze hardened, eyes locked with his sister's. "Your purpose is to serve and assist me. Always has been," the guitarist's lips twisted into a sneer. "Always will be."

The blonde bassist looked behind her, eyes showing nervousness as she shuffled to hide someone behind her body. "What the hell happened to you Alex?" Her silvery eyes showed pain and distrust as they locked onto the young man Faye once considered her brother. "What happened to the twin brother I had before this mess?"

"Alex died that first night!" He growled, lifting up his forearms to show the bloodied bandages covering deep, eternal scars. "Have you forgotten that so easily?!" "How could I ever forget?!" Faye shouted back, her posture showing outrage at the mere mention of the traumatic event. "I was there too! I had to watch her torture you! How do you think that made me feel?! I'm your fucking twin, Alexander! I need you to survive!"

By this point, Sophis' teeth were grinding in anger, veins raised in tension against his neck and throat. "I don't need you." He hissed, turning to leave when a flash of orchid caught his eye. The king-to-be smirked darkly, moving towards the figure hiding behind Faye.

"And you don't need her."

As soon as she saw her brother moving to attack Zella, Faye shot her fist out into Sophis' jaw, causing him to recoil in shock and pain.

Comparatively, the female Orson twin had much more muscle than her opposite did. She carried a heavier instrument, and had defined the muscles in her shoulders and biceps to make playing the five-string that much easier.

But she didn't really want to hurt him, let alone kill her brother.

Which is the precise reason why Faye was so easily caught off guard by Sophis tugging an arrow from his quiver. The blonde archer rushed forward, thrusting the projectile's tip into his twin's thigh and breaking the shaft off. The bassist fell to her knees with a cry of pain, clutching at the wounded, bleeding flesh before transferring her concern.

All of her fear came to a head as Sophis flung Zella past her, the girl's blue eyes wide in fear. Everything seemed to narrow down to the gaze the pair shared; a locked stare full of fear and panic. The look was broken when the violet-haired teenager's eyes slammed shut, a shriek of agony ringing through the room as the male Orson twin brought his foot against her stomach. "Faye!"

"No, Sophis stop!" Tears began to run down Faye's pale cheeks, her desperation bleeding through both voice and tears. "You can't do this! She's just a girl!"

The archer stood up further and turned, glaring at his sister. "Watch me."

In that moment, something churned and struggled within Faye's mind. A battle of virtue and attachment. The blonde bassist slowly rose to her feet, face pale from the pain in her thigh. She was slow and silent as she moved closer to Sophis, intent on destroying what tried to destroy her emotional bridge to Zella.

The bassist grabbed onto her brother's arm, pulling him back hard enough to send the archer to the floor. Sophis opened his mouth to protest and resist, but was quickly silenced by the fist that slammed into his face. Faye struck him in the jaw, sending her twin down onto the rotting floorboards.

Tears turning her fair cheeks red, Faye pounded her fists into Sophis' face. The brother gave a groan of protest, incapable of proper speech as he was pummeled into submission. Throughout the entire struggle, only one phrase could be heard above the assault, a singular sentence above the sound of cracking cartilage.

"Stop hurting her! Stop hurting her!"

The other two housemates rushed down the stairs, panic in Juan's eyes, the ever-present apathy lining Phobia's face. The scene presented caused the Hispanic gangster to vomit.

Sophis' body lay against the floor, face beaten to a bloody pulp. Faye sat in a corner, sobbing quietly, her arms wrapped protectively (or posessively, either way) around her violet-haired girlfriend. The bassist's fists were bloody, knuckles scraped raw.

"W-what happened here?" Juan questioned hesitantly, glancing at Faye pensively. "Alex, Alex was r-running with scissors." She twitched in the direction of the body, refusing to look at it. "That doesn't make sense…" "He tripped and fell, okay?!"

Phobia stood at the bottom of the stairs, eyes digging into the living twin's thoughts. She very rarely lied, and never about anything so serious. The Russian huffed, blowing a puff of smoke from her cigarette as she viewed the scene.

"Vhatever you say, Faye."
